Summary/Abstract: The Romanian Language Preparatory Program is a clear example of the meeting of different cultures, a context in which the teaching and learning process is not only about the acquisition of language concepts, but also about understanding the cultural variety, but, at the same time, about the integration of the foreign students in Romanian society. Although the tendency is to separate language from culture in the teaching of Romanian as a foreign language, this fact is not possible, because these two phenomena cannot be separated. In this article we aim to highlight and exemplify teaching methods that could help teachers to integrate the elements of culture in language subjects, not only in courses that are specifically dedicated to this field. We will highlight how culture can be integrated into language courses using the didactic experience from the practical course “Writing and Composition” that I teach at the Faculty of Letters and Arts (LBUS). In the field of RLS, the culture is taught from a scientific point of view, but there is also a great need to present and highlight the lived culture that emerges from the conduct of Romanians, an aspect pointed out and detailed by Elena Platon in the article “Culture – Dessert or Ingredient in the Field of the Romanian Language as Foreign Language”.
