ASPECTS OF CHANGE MANAGEMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF SAFETY AT LEVEL CROSSINGS

Summary/Abstract: e implementation of many railway investments is a time of dynamic development of railway transport. The implementation of so many railway investments begins to highlight certain problems related to the implementation of railway investments relating to obtaining permission to operate structural subsystems. The changes implemented, the primary goal of which is to increase speed on railway lines while maintaining or improving the level of safety, are mostly implemented from EU funds. The defi ned goal includes equipping railway lines with trackside equipment of the ETCS system as well as the broadly understood modernization of railway lines in terms of railway infrastructure, power equipment and networks, and railway control-command devices. European law and national law for all railway lines on which such work is performed are subject to the certifi cation process. The increasing number of railway lines with the ETCS system that are certifi ed and approved for operation will be subject to improvement in the operational parameters of the railway infrastructure. Based on expert knowledge in relation to this aspect, it becomes necessary to assess the impact of investments on already installed ETCS system devices with a valid EC verifi cation certifi cate and obtained or awaiting receipt of a permit for placing in service issued by the President of UTK..
