Summary/Abstract: By questioning the notion of ethos in utterance from an attested production of Vietnamese speeches, we make the postulate of the instruction of a collective ethos at the level of kinship terms. Moreover, dynamic discursive traces reveal the implicit encoding of this collective ethos. We rely on a concept of Vietnamese collective ethos: họ.
