Summary/Abstract: The review of agglomeration delimitations, agglomerating areas and settlement groups, all playing a decisive role in the settlement structure is a funda-mental demand on the part of regional development actors. To this end, the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (HCSO) deemed important to carry out the review using 2022 Population Cen-sus data, in order to follow the processes taking place in the domestic settlement structure and to begin the publication of the most significant data based on the new delimitation. Present study briefly summarizes the results after presenting the survey. Points out the ever-increasing importance of commuting, draws attention to the catchment area size defined by commuting. The author highlights the economic importance of delimited settlement structures through the calculation of the economic strength of a settlement and other indicators.
