Summary/Abstract: Our paper aims to describe Europe’s spatial structure through bidimensional regression calculations based on the spatial moving average, the potential model and the gravitation model. Several theoretical and empirical works attempt to describe Europe’s spatial structure, partly by zones, axes, formations, and partly by policentric models in the special literature. We illustrate their versatility by listing the major, most interesting models, without striving for completeness. Our research shows the cross-section of structures drawn up by us, the locations of core areas of our continent unambiguously show a banana shape, and in this context the closing up regions become visible at several fields.
