Summary/Abstract: This article explores the notion of the human person according to the 1968 encyclical Humanae Vitae, promulgated by Pope Paul VI, highlighting the need to understand human life and looks at human growth and development, identifying the modern challenges of human life and how such challenges threatened to reorder the role of women and the value of children within society.
