Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the image of the Soviet Union and Russia created in neo-nationalistic journalism, based on the example of Myśl Polska (Polish Thought) – a maga- zine published as an organ of the National Democratic Party. The chronological range covers the years 1989–1999, i.e., from the moment of the political changes in Poland and the national movement’s rebirth to President Boris Yeltsin’s resignation and the assumption of power by Vladimir Putin. It contains the most important elements of the discourse on Poland’s eastern neighbour at the turn of the 1990s.
