Summary/Abstract: The issue of liturgical renewal or reform is part of the pontificate of the outstanding theolo- gian and liturgy enthusiast, Pope Benedict XVI. The Pope himself described it as a “reform in continuity” (la riforma nella continuità), and in the opinion of contemporary theologi- ans – a “dynamic hermeneutics of continuity”. Both in the teaching of Benedict XVI and in his personal concern for the ars celebrandi, and especially in his liturgical reform, there is a constant effort to implement the principle of lex orandi – lex credendi into the life of the Church and all its members. This principle of mutual dependence between the liturgy and the faith of the Church is intended to demonstrate the continuity of the worship given to God.
