Summary/Abstract: The report examines the specifics of the events in the Black Sea in the war between Russia and Ukraine. Emphasis is placed on the use of mine weapons by the two belligerent states, the exported data on mines used and the danger to shipping from this activity. The hydrological features of the Black Sea are analyzed and what is the danger to shipping from free-floating mines.
