Summary/Abstract: The aim of the present paper is to provide an overview and to highlightthe significance of the Romanian translations of Arthur Schopenhauer’s philosophical texts for the cultural context in Romania, with particular attention on Titu Maiorescu's adaptations of ‘Aphorisms On Wisdom of Life’ (original title:‘Aphorismen zur Lebensweisheit’).Additionally, a comparative analysis will examine the title of the aforementioned German philosophical text and its Romanian translation, particularly focusing on the prepositions employed in both languages during the translation process. This will emphasize the significance of prepositions incomprehending texts, as well as the challenges faced during inter-lingual translations.
