Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to analyse a selection of texts to investigate how Hungarian-German literature creates spaces of security and acceptance for the historical experiences of Hungarian-Germans. Projection mechanisms will be presented which establish connections between concepts of the motherly and concepts of historical events and thus provide interpretation templates for the latter. The methodological instruments are provided by cognitive theories.
