Summary/Abstract: Multilingualism, intercomprehension and translation play an important role in the context of globalization and can be found in everyday life as well as in all other areas. Technical languages also have a special importance here, especially since technical language skills, alongside intercomprehensive skills and knowledge of foreign languages, are among the most important skills of a translator. The focus of the article is to show that knowledge of foreign languages facilitates communication in everyday language as well as in the area of educational and technical language.
