Summary/Abstract: The assemblies of the estates from the medieval Transylvania were sometimes called under the personal survey of the Hungarian kings, but they were usually held with the Voivode as the head of the assembly; the equivalent meetings of the county Satu-Mare, Bihor, Zarand, Arad, Cenad were supervised by the palatine of the kingdom. This article attempts to sketch the practice of issuing charters by this institution and to define the distinctive features of its legal documents.
