Summary/Abstract: The following pages are dedicated to the life and activity of a remarkable professor from Năsăud, Alexandru Dorel Coc, who departed into eternity in the summer of 2023. Born in Gherla in 1956, he graduated from „Gheorghe Lazăr” High School in Cluj‑Napoca, the same city where he also graduated from the University of Babeş‑Bolyai, Faculty of History‑Philosophy. As soon as he graduated from university (1981), he started working at the “George Coşbuc” High School in Năsăud. Furthermore, he represented the Bistriţa‑Năsăud county as a deputy in the Romanian Parliament (1992–1996). Over the course of his life, he conducted a prodigious cultural and civic activity, being one of the most active members of ASTRA Năsăud.
