Summary/Abstract: The Evangelical Society of Students (EUS, since 1991) in Serbia, seen in its closest natural surroundings, amongst the Balkan societies of Albania (BSKSH, since 1991), Bulgaria (BHSS, since 1993), and Romania (OSJHR, since 1998), is also founded on the common principals of these and other like-minded societies. The Evangelical Society of Students in Serbia has from its very beginning been based upon Christian, biblical values and spreading the international spirit of its home society, the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES, unofficially since 1880, and officially since 1946). The work of the EUS is in the main part voluntary. On this basis the Society organizes conferences, seminars, camps, projects, voluntary work, student exchanges, foreign language schools, excursions and other activities, the basic aim of which is to encourage in individuals an understanding of the key postulates of the Bible, accepting its conclusions into ones everyday life, and of the integrity of the Christian believer. The Balkan society with which the EUS most frequently co-operates, oragnizing reconciliation camps, is the Society of Christian Albanian Students. The Protestant ethic of these camps and the Protestant approach to work also contributes to their quality, so that in the future we can expect much more international and national camps which will be concerned with both the development of Christian values and of personal professionalism.
