Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to clarifying and systematizing higher education prospectsand problems conditioned by the fourth industrial revolution. An analysis of its essentialtechnologies' influence on the higher education system is performed. The following scheme ofthe research is used: the essence of technologies; innovations created on their basis; theconsequences of their introduction into the industry, both positive and negative; problems andprospects for the development of the system of higher education. Based on the analysisresults, problems and prospects of universities' development in the conditions of the fourthindustrial revolution are highlighted. Some practical aspects of Ukrainian universities'development opportunities in conditions and on the basis of technologies of the fourthindustrial revolution are considered.
