NARCISSISTIC CONFIGURATION OF THE SUBJECT AND ACTUAL WORK CULTURE

Summary/Abstract: This text deals with the work culture characteristic of neoliberalism, primarily with career and “remote” work. The phenomena are approached from the point of view of contemporary psychoanalytic doctrine, taking into account the ideas of political philosophy. The structure of the ideal subject of neoliberal capitalism is viewed from a developmental perspective. The relationship between the authentic self and the career “self” is presented, in an attempt to better understand the dynamics of the functioning of such a subject of the actuality. The potential consequences of today’s prevailing work regimes on the dynamics of family life are also considered. The dichotomy of public and private life is reexamined in the context of the main theme of the work.
