Summary/Abstract: Mythology presents a collection of myths and their studying within a single nation or civilization, or in one historical period. Myth, in historical sense, presents a story from the oral tradition and tells us about supernatural beings, ancestors or heroes and their unusual, supernatural acts. It can also be defined as real or invented story which refers to the consciousness of a nation using certain cultural and social patterns or strong collective feelings (including prejudices too). Mythological creature can be explained as a phenomenon in the form of a monster, present in folklore and myths of a single nation. The following text will present the Albanian villa-Zana as a mythological creature in Albanian national mythology. The text will also include Zana’s appearance, tendencies, abilities, relationship with peoples and similarities with other villas.
