Summary/Abstract: The authoresses describe the Jewish cemetery at Brandýs nad Labem, not far from Prague, whose earliest tombstones date from the second half of the 16th century. The epitaph on the oldest tombstone identified, which dates from the year 1572, is transcribed and published together with examples of some 17th-19th cent, epitaphs.
