Summary/Abstract: Human trafficking is a broad concept, and it has acquired a broad meaning in recent years that includes searching, recruiting, transferring, exploiting people, and acquiring large sums of money. The intensity with which the traffic problem has developed in recent years is interesting, as it also takes on new, different forms and manifestations. Considering the variety of possible victims – children, women, refugees, in general, people with serious social and economic troubles and problems, who are looking for a better place to live, we can see a dramatic increase in the number of these victims. The growth in the direction of the migration process and human trafficking across the country's borders is particularly noticeable. The most significant factor remains the socio-economic, as well as the raging economic and military conflicts in Europe. It is the expansion of the European Union and the creation of opportunities for the free movement of money, goods and capital that comes with all that. The trend in the problem of human trafficking is increasing the scale and number of organized criminal groups who are formed to improve the channels of trafficking, as well as to transfer different groups of people from one country to another. Invariably, the generation of profits from this criminal activity will increase, which will further stimulate such organized criminal activity and require even more adequate countermeasures.
