Summary/Abstract: Organized crime is a wide-ranging illegal activity carried out by organized criminal groups, mainly on the territory of several countries. It originates from ancient times, along with the need to fill certain criminal niches, distribute territories and money. It can also be defined as a parallel reality within the country, since it aims to compromise the power of the country and enter it, in order to pass policies and preserve its status. The immediate counteraction is a guarantor of the legality and stability of a country, legal regulation is mandatory and the more detailed it is, the greater efficiency can be expected. The law enforcement authorities are also of great importance, but with weak means, we could not expect significant results to limit and neutralize such activity. A characteristic feature of organized crime is that it must have a clear commercial goal – profit accumulation and a kind of organization. The lack of legal regulation and substantial criminal norms, respectively punishment for such type of crimes, carries a serious risk for the state of the country, both for internal and external security. Improvement of judicial practices and the correct application of currently existing criminal norms is a guarantee of effective countermeasures. Invariably, the generation of profits from this criminal activity will increase, which will further stimulate such organized criminal activity and require even more adequate countermeasures.
