Summary/Abstract: The paper contains information on the history of the Old Synagogue at Holešov, Moravia, which was built after the fire in 1560, enlarged and repaired in the years 1615 and 1737 and restored in 1964. The main part of the paper surveys the Hebrew inscriptions on the walls inside the synagogue. The Old Synagogue at Holešov is one of a few synagogues of this kind preserved in the Czech lands.
