Summary/Abstract: The Jewish cemetery at Kolin (Central Bohemia) is, together with the Old Jewish Cemetery in Prague, the oldest and most important Jewish cemetery in Bohemia. The authoresses mention the development of its tombstones, give examples of the Hebrew epitaphs (transcribed into the Latin alphabet), and discuss in detail the lives and work of the rabbis who were buried there in the 18th—19th centuries (Yakob lilovy, Eleazar Kalir, Hayyim Deutschmann, Daniel Frank). Buried in the cemetery (among them) is Rabbi Low’s son, Betsalel, who is also paid attention to.
