Summary/Abstract: The study analyzes an unknown letter from Saint Silouan to David Balfour, which is found in the archives of the Russikon monastery. This was most likely written in 1932, referring to Balfour’s conversion to Orthodoxy, which occurred in the same year. At the same time, the study presents a precious testimony of Mother Silouana (Soboleva) about the meeting between David Balfour and Saint Silouan in 1932 and how it led to his conversion.
