Summary/Abstract: Often in historiographic approaches, the Legionary Movement is attached to the interests of the interwar Romanian Orthodox Church, endorsing the idea that there was even a reciprocal, unwritten political agreement, totally manifesting in ideology as a counterweight to the policies of parliamentary governments or during the Carlist and Antonescian regimes. This situation is largely due to the lack of systematic consultation of archival sources and publications from that era. For these reasons, the present approach aims to contribute to filling this historiographic gap. The study out-lines a picture of the events and facts on the announced theme regarding the relationship between the Romanian Orthodox Church and the Legionary Movement in the time segment from July 1940 to January 1941.
