Summary/Abstract: The topic of the paper is the attitude of the German associations Völkerbundliga der Sudetenländer deutscher Zweig (VdSdZ) and Deutsche Liga für Volkerbund und Völkerverständigung (DL) to the First Czechoslovak Land Reform. The text deals mostly with the life of representatives of both associations in the context of the situation of the German minority in the Czechoslovak Republic in 1918–1938. It analyses strategies that both associations used in order to discredit the Land Reform on the international level. The paper also tries to find the link between both associations – the promising connection represents the personality of Leo Epstein, yet the direct link is subject to further research. The text presents the founder of VdSdZ Josef Korec that later, due to his political activities, got into conflict with Czechosloval law and, subsequently, fled to Germany. After his return to Czechoslovakia as a supporter of NSDAP, he got involved again in public life. Considerable space is dedicated to Korec foreign contacts at the beginning of 1920s and to his adhesion to international Union of Democratic Control. After Korec’ emigration in 1922 and cease of activities of VdSdZ, the DL was established under the leadership of an experienced diplomat and landowner from Malá Skála Wilhelm von Medinger. The Medinger’s movement developed efforts to discredit the Land Reform at the League of Nations, however, it did not achieve any considerable results; his movement finally became “an efficient instrument of manipulation” of the Sudeten German Party
