Summary/Abstract: The text is devoted to the works of Michał Głowiński, covering the issues of Newspeak. The author analyzes selected texts by Głowiński on this topic. They are compared with Polish and world research on the shape of totalitarian languages. Głowiński’s work in this area is placed against the background of global achievements in this research field.
