Summary/Abstract: After the end of WWII, the Czechoslovak economy went through the major change, the main one consisted in implementation of the centrally planned management of the economic structure that the Economic Council and its Office of the General Secretary was to ensure. The task of both bodies was to plan and carry out the two-year plan for the republic reconstruction. The paper clarifies the basic organisation structure and focus of the office as well as the history of its archive and its processing.
