Summary/Abstract: The article recalls the spiritual importance and practical applicability of the calendar format for liturgical festivity in the Orthodox and Catholic Churches. Scientific value is attached to the comparative analysis of the two editions. The research tasks are related to the calendar reform carried out and the resulting problems. The reference function of the calendars for the spiritual-practical life of the laity is very important. This study compares the editions of the synodal and liturgical calendars only for 2023. The conclusions are related to the Christian cultural and religious significance of the publications for the Orthodox and Catholic communities in Bulgaria.
