Summary/Abstract: The epithet, as a source of expressivity, even if it has a less homogeneous appearance through the lyrical creation of Virgil Carianopol, when it comes into sight, it is delightful. The epithets are taken from usual language, nothing seemed to be forced in their choice. But, when they are placed inside the poet’s verses, they gain a huge suggestive intensity. This article follows the grammatical structure of this source of expressivity. In this way, we can observe that the poet’s preference is for the epithets expressed through a proper adjective, no matter if it is before or after the subject. But, Virgil Carianopol’s epithet is also expressed through a participial adjective, adverb or noun. Another way of originality is using a noun as an adjective with a stylistic value of an epithet or expressing an epithet through a sentence.
