Summary/Abstract: In this work, the author raises the yet unexplored issue of the establishment, organization, costs and pace of mobilization of Polish troops in 1807 during the First Polish War. At the beginning, the circumstances of the establishment of the Governing Commission, its composition and competences were presented. At the same time, each director (minister) was listed. However, the focus was on the Director of War, Fr. Józef Poniatowski. He quickly created his own resort. Back in January, the organization of administrative chambers for departments and counties was adopted. Then the author examined the composition of each legion and their numerical development. An interesting issue also examined by the author is the cost of equipping troops and the cost of maintaining them.
