Summary/Abstract: School is a child’s everyday life, where he or she gains knowledge and experiences, the effects of which are visible in adulthood. The teacher and peers also have a huge influence on the student, who absorbs stimuli with his entire being. The aim of the article is to present the issues facing students’ everyday life and the elements related to it. The first part presents attitudes towards everyday life and research on children’s attitudes towards school and teachers, as well as a sum- mary of the core curriculum. The next part presents the importance of the teacher for the student and the work principles that should be followed. The last part shows children’s emotional develop- ment from infancy to late childhood, as well as social competences and their elements with ap- propriate examples.
