Summary/Abstract: The structure of social threats reveals negative or destructive pathological phenomena, such as drug crime, which is one of the most important causes influencing the occurrence of various types of threats. This is due to the fact that drug crime affects almost all spheres of social and economic life, and as practice proves, it is a complex phenomenon around which all the significant problems of contemporary crime are concentrated. The central place in this area of threats is occupied by the perpetrator, who himself is often not a drug addict, and the motive of his criminal activity is to make a profit, and who, as part of his individual modus operandi, commits various drug crimes and related crimes, such as traditional and economic ones, often of an organized nature, using simple as well as intellectually sophisticated methods, forms and means. Depending on the category of offender, in his interest (often depending on his education and social position) and the manner in which the offence is carried out, etc., a number of dependencies as well as discrepancies can be discerned, which can contribute to the targeting of the detection efforts undertaken by law enforcement agencies in order to identify him and prove his guilt. It is therefore important to establish the nature and risk of drug-related crime, as well as the characteristics of the offender, as only such data can support the detection process and thus contribute to minimising the negative consequences of this structurally complex crime.
