Summary/Abstract: The article covers considerations in the field of personal security in the context of protecting the privacy of individuals. The issues are presented in terms of key legal regulations and selected principles of privacy protection in the framework of individual users' use of widely available commercial services. The analyzed material illustrates both the existing normative solutions that make up the protection of privacy, as well as the scale and types of information about users obtained and processed by companies in the case of commercial services.
