The memory of a church “voievod”

Summary/Abstract: In the last 20-30 years, historiography has enriched itself with a species called recent history. A young historian and theologian, Călin Emilian Cira, has contributed to this field. He is responsible for two volumes dedicated to our well-known hierarch, Justinian Chira. This type of research is significant for the information it brings to the surface. Therefore, today we have a volume of conversations that took place about a decade ago between Călin Emilian Cira and Archbishop Justinian Chira, as well as a book of testimonies and evocations of this hierarch of our Holy Church. Bishop Justinian was a true “voivode” of Maramureş, coming from other times, difficult but beautiful, and a representative of an ineffable world.
