Summary/Abstract: This research aims to evaluate the student-centered teaching approaches of secondary school mathematics teachers. The participants are 12 mathematics teachers working in Adana Sarıçam district. The data collection process was carried out through individual interviews and the data obtained was evaluated by content analysis. The findings of the research reveal that teachers are generally willing to adopt and implement student-centered teaching methods. The majority of teachers use these approaches frequently and believe that these methods create positive effects on student achievement, motivation and overall development. However, the research also shows the challenges teachers face. Factors such as student interest, lack of adequate resources, and class size are the main challenges faced in implementing student-centered teaching. Teachers need more professional development, especially in application techniques, evaluation methods and material selection. Based on this, this research emphasizes that it is important for teachers to adopt student-centered teaching approaches, but the need for support and development should be taken into account in this process.
