Summary/Abstract: This research aims to examine digital literacy skills using a screening model conducted on 45 students studying at a science high school in Adana. The research was designed to deeply understand students' skills in digital communication, access to information, evaluation skills, creative content production, digital security awareness, adaptation to digital technology and digital media literacy education. Within the scope of digital communication skills, the communication tools and styles preferred by the students were determined, and their evaluations of their strengths and weaknesses were examined. Regarding access to information, students' habits of using the internet effectively and their experiences of accessing other digital resources were discussed. In the context of evaluation skills, students' awareness of information verification methods and access to reliable sources was emphasized. The tools used and the types of content students preferred were evaluated in terms of their ability to produce creative content. In the context of digital security awareness, students' personal information security habits and their level of awareness against digital threats were discussed. In the evaluation regarding adaptation to digital technology, students' adaptation strategies to new technologies and the difficulties they encountered were analyzed. Finally, students' thoughts about digital media literacy education and its effects on the education they received were examined. The findings of this study can provide an important basis for understanding the digital literacy skills of high school students and developing educational strategies in this field.
