Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to show that alliance networks can play an important role in today global economy. It focuses on the particular case of strategic alliances and joint ventures, which are two of the most frequent network structures in global economy. Linkage of the companies is one of the most effective ways how to face a competition. Alliance means a cooperation between groups that produces better results that can be gained from a transaction. There are used many perspectives of networks classification in literature. This paper is one of the solutions of grant research GAJU Nr. 073/08/H Application of fuzzy logic methods in logistic controlling and benchmarking.
