Summary/Abstract: I present a new method for the determination and evaluation of the Total Production Potential of farmland - TPPf . The theoretical basis for TPPf calculation consists in the definition of production and environmental functions in agricultural landscape, the proposal of methodological procedure for the calculation of mentioned functions and the construction of the formulae for the calculation, including the determination of point span for particular numbers of BPEJ (or HPJ) code. Considering production function we have proposed correction coefficients for critical parameters; in the calculation of environmental function we have included correction environmental parameters. To verify the newly proposed method as well as the algorithm of the calculation itself we decided to launch practical tests in the marginal area Šumava - Zdíkovsko and Vimperk.
