The use of Cartoon Videomaterials in Course of Russian as a Foreign Language at the Beginning Stage of Teaching

Summary/Abstract: The problem of using audiovisual materials in teaching Russian as a foreign language is considered in this article. The advantages and peculiarities of the inclusion of video plot in lesson structure are shown by the author. The author supposes that harmonious inclusion videomaterials into lesson intensifies the teaching process, facilitates the work on a new lexical and grammar material, helps with the improving listening, writing and speaking skills, promotes the creation the common with native Russians cognitive base. The use of video makes lessons more interesting and lively and brings the lesson situation nearer to real life conditions and raises motivation to studying Russian. The types of authentic audiovisual materials which are used in teaching Russian as a foreign language are defined and the criteria of their selection for teaching use are established in the article .On the example of concrete Russian cartoon films the author shows the general model of the Russian lesson with the inclusion of audiovisual materials and reveals the work order with video plot. The author underlines the importance of well thought-out and right choice of the audiovisual materials by the teacher for its use at the lesson. The creative methodological development of the audiovisual materials by the teacher is the key for its successful use. The author comes to the conclusion that the use of audiovisual materials in course of Russian for foreigners not only corresponds with terms of modern lingual didactics but also imparts many aspects to the lesson.
