„JULKA” AS A PARTY IN THE CONFLICT OVER THE ADMISSIBILITY OF ABORTION. USAGE EXAMPLE OF A NEW NAME-BASED EPONYM IN THE CONTEMPORARY POLISH CULTURE WAR

Summary/Abstract: The years 2020-2021 in Poland were marked by protests against the tightening of the abortion law. At some point, their participants began to be referred by the eponym Julka, which became a carrier of a conflict with the hallmarks of a culture war. The study aimed to characterize the discourse that developed around the tags associated with the eponym at that time. The analysis was made based on a corpus containing statements from Twitter and Wykop, using the extraction of key terms with the help of TermoPL, and then relating them to the sociopolitical context of the discussed events.
