Summary/Abstract: This article exposes the public discourse used by the Romanian authorities during the first stages of World War 2 regarding the liberation of the Romanian province of Bessarabia. We focus on the propaganda published by the Romanian government to sustain the war effort and maintain the morale of the troops and the general population.
