Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the issue of using mediation in the labour market as a conflict resolution instrument in order to eliminate gender discrimination in the labour market. The main attention is paid to legislative measures that deal with ensuring equal access for both sexes in the labour market. The aim is to examine the existing legal norms accepted in the Czech Republic in relation to this issue and assess their contribution to solving a different approach to women. The object of evaluation was especially Anti-discrimination Act. The result of this paper is to find out procedural and substantive shortcomings of the analyzed Act and identify its possible weaknesses in implementation.
