Import of American Concept „Challenge“

Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the process of import of American linguistic concept „challenge“ which is one of the most popular loans by different language systems nowadays. The philosophical and historical roots of the concept are analysed, the semantic structure of the American concept „challenge“ is compared with the structure of the Russian concept „vyzov“, the problems of translation of given word into Russian are considered. The degree of probable influence of this concept on internal psychological structures of the person and global political processes is found out.
