Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the problem of synonimy from the point of view of Polish language asforeign one. Some particular stereotypes of synonyms representation in the Polish synonymicdictionaries are analyzed. The necessity of new type manuals which combine features of thedictionary and manual is proved to insure correct using of the words which are interpreted byforeign students in the light of a native language interference as semantic synonyms.
