Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, media and professional public monitor a growing debt of households in the Czech Republic and their situation which is often difficult to deal with. It is often caused by ignorance of basic terms and relations in the financial world. The aim of this paper is to show a possible concept of financial literacy and to analyze the behaviour of bank clients.
