Can the Close be Tested from Afar? Dilemmas Regarding Online Interviews with Bone Marrow Donors

Summary/Abstract: The article was written on the basis of the experience of conducting individual inter-views using the Internet. The aim of the text is to present reflections on the possibili-ties, opportunities and dilemmas regarding the threats and limitations of this formof data collection. Interviews were conducted with three actual bone marrow donorsand covered their experiences throughout the donation procedure. The remote formwas chosen due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic and difficulties with settingthe date of the meeting. Constructed conclusions are based on the observations andexperiences of the researcher and the statements of the Narrators themselves regard-ing participation in the online interview conducted in this way.
