Reflections on the process of institutional development in higher education institutions

Summary/Abstract: This article is a doctrinal analysis of the concept of institutional development, but at the same time it is an analytical material of the authors’ vision on the particularities of institutional development in higher education institutions. Institutional development is not a one-time event, but an ongoing process. Higher education institutions must be vigilant and pro-active in their efforts to adapt and evolve, and must be able to respond quickly and effectively to changes in their environment. They must also be able to anticipate and plan for future trends and challenges and position themselves to take advantage of new opportunities.
