Selected characteristics of insurance cgcles in Poland in the years 2001—2012

Summary/Abstract: The insurance cycle may be defined as a recurring sequence of the «hard market» and ket». Most research conducted so far has confirmed the existence of cycles foe the loss ratio and technical result determined on the basis of the second -degree autoregressive method. The aim of the article is to identify selected morphological features ( construction elements) of the insurance cycle for Branch II of the Polish insurance market (to demonstrate in which periods the decrease and increase stages were observed, and determine the length of the stages and cycle)
