Summary/Abstract: This article discusses the archival activities of Henryk Lesiński, who served as the director of the Provincial State Archive in Szczecin, as well as a rector and professor. He worked as an archivist for 17 years, including 14 years as the director of the Szczecin archive (1956–1969). During his tenure, the Szczecin archive became a leading institution in the field of archival science (with a guide to its resources). It also became a center of academic and intellectual life in Szczecin. This position was a result of Henryk Lesiński’s archival and organizational work, as well as the efforts of his team of collaborators.
